I have a 2011 Ranger 4x4. Too trucklike for modern day consumers.

Hybrid + 4wd would be interesting, but I think those are mutually exclusive options.

I wonder how many manufacturing defects it will come with that Ford will try to play down or skirt.

This is where I’m at, if I can have a small “truck” that costs 20k and gets 40mpg I would consider one as a daily driver.

I feel bad wearing out my current daily, I wouldn’t feel bad about wearing that out.

Very interesting, not sure I would want to be an early adopter though.

ETA: wait, 2k towing limit with the hybrid model? What's the point then?

CVT in a pickup?

Has that been tried?

It’s more urban assault vehicle than pickup.

I know they have a AWD version, but if they a friend 4hi/4low system as an option. That would be a neat little desert truck after a small lift and some tires.

Probably pretty hard to do with a fwd based system.
