Manatees rarely "visit" Chesapeake Bay, ergo manatees hate Maryland....
When manatees do visit Maryland though, it's no coincidence....while frequently mistaken as vegetarians, the manatee diet does include mussels and oysters, among other invertebrates. Maryland's efforts to keep all the oysters for themselves has NOT gone unnoticed by the Guild of Manatees, which has proven ties to certain, mass unplugging events in Florida. Further, marine biologists generally agree the manatees are up to something.....and their activities appear to be evolving around the Chesapeake Bay oysters. What could that be?
