Well, they need to save money to rename bases and roads so people who are long dead don't get their feelings hurt...oh yeah and most important to save money so they can pay for gender change surgery and classes to teach everyone how to be woke.  Clearly those things will help during a war...right?

Trying to remember any Vietnam era stuff I ever put hands on between Reagan and GWOT. There was an M79 in the A/1/19th unit armory when I was there. Had a photo of me shooting it at Yakima but all my hard copy pix are now gone Loved that thing, really user friendly and accurate.

It may shock people, but when it comes down to programming and budgeting, at the end of the cycle fights break out for who get $5-10K of money between one program or another.  There is billions out there in the budget but there are trillion of dollars of needs.  I have must have items cut from programs because the $50K was needed somewhere else.

They learned the big money is in the software.   Sell them the hardware that can do everything, but since it is software defined you keep having to go back from the next software set to do what you need to do.

RF burns are a thing. But with an antenna that long attached you likely wouldn't get one. Touch the connection with none attached and it's party time.
