https://soldiersystems.net/2022/11/15/introducing-the-recc%C2%B7e-carbine-stock-by-reptilia/
After more than two years of development and testing, Reptilia is proud to announce the RECC·E Stock for AR15/M16 and AR10/SR25 pattern rifles. Designed at the request of a military end user, the RECC·E Stock features a constant cheek weld, ambidextrous QD sling attachment points, rubber buttpad, and a modular design that allows usage of a standard AR15 carbine buffer system, or A5/SR25 carbine buffer system by replacing the receiver extension (buffer tube) and forward portion of the stock. Weighing only 12.0 ounces including the proprietary AR15-length receiver extension, the RECC·E stock is the ideal lightweight solution for the entire spectrum of AR-pattern guns from compact to precision. Technical Specifications: • Proprietary Receiver Extension: 7075-T6 Aluminum, Type III Milspec Anodized Finish • Materials: Impact Modified, Glass-Filled Nylon Polymer • Weight (AR15/M16): 12.0 oz. • Weight (AR10/SR25): 12.7 oz. • Length of Pull (AR15/M16): 10.8 in. – 14.2 in. • Length of Pull (AR10/SR25): 11.6 in. – 15.0 in. |

Pretty similar to a UBR without all of the weight. Looks like a winner.

I don't think $160 is absurd for a stock but it's also not cheap.

No castle nut? Just looking at the pic, maybe I’m wrong, but I like it.

Cool, but I just want someone to make me an adjustable rifle length extension that I can use a carbine stock on. I usually run my stocks in the middle anyways, and love the recoil impulse of the longer spring. As usual, I'm the only person on earth that wants a thing. A1Stocks4Lyfe.

No single point sling QD cup? That might be a deal breaker for the rifle I would put this on. It looks solid though.

'Includes our proprietary carbine length receiver extension “buffer tube”'
I think I will pass. |

Quoted: At nearly half the weight, according to the manufacturer's claim. Magpul lists their UBR w/ receiver extension at 21.2 ounces. This thing is listed as "Weighing only 12.0 ounces including the proprietary AR15-length receiver extension" View Quote It’s more like the Zukov AK stock now that I look at it. |

Quoted: thats because LMT. B5 is the exact same stock for like $80 cheaper View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Cheaper than my LMT SOPMOD. B5 is the exact same stock for like $80 cheaper Yup, I picked up 6 B5 stocks last BF for $40 each from Primary Arms |

Quoted: It’s more like the Zukov AK stock now that I look at it. View Quote I think you're right. It does look heavily inspired by the Zhukov moreso than the UBR. Looks like they took a Zhukov, shaped it around a buffer tube, and then hollowed out the material on the extending bit to accommodate. Well, neat. Good to see more options on the market. |
|
I like it, that looks comfortable, practical, and also aesthetically nice.

Quoted: Lame. Anything beyond a CAR stock is unnecessary. View Quote TrumpWrong.gif SOPMOD is the answer… but this stock looks mighty nice for a SPR/RECCE if the lockup is there. Quoted: 'Includes our proprietary carbine length receiver extension “buffer tube”' I think I will pass. View Quote why? Pull old receiver extension off and reuse on new build or recoup money in the EE. |

View Quote It is neat, solves the beard pinch too. I’d like to compare to my Sopmods. Those already beat the CTR for sure. |

Quoted: Looks like a cross between a UBR and a Zhukov (Magpul adjustable AK stock). https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/71141/5C9C60E6-5F59-448A-9F55-D713EC9DB72E_png-2601035.JPG View Quote Thought it looked like a magpul knock-off. Over/under on magpul suing them? |

There is a comment section at the bottom.

View Quote Have you tried an A5 length tube, rifle spring, and VLTR buffer? That's what I did on my rifle caliber ARs. I have no interest in this stock though since it's only a carbine length tube. |

Quoted: And shorter which I like. As a 5’9” manlet I can’t square up with a UBR even fully collapsed. View Quote Attached File |

I saw the title and thought “Yeah, nothing is going to beat the UBR on *my* RECCE.”
This thing looks awesome (UBR minus the weight). |

Looks to me the whole thing is proprietary just like a UBR. But they have an A5 length one coming out alongside the AR-15 one. There are certainly worse choices for a new build. But who is making a new build right now. That said I kinda want one. |

Neat.
I've got several UBRs. The only thing I don't like about them is the weight. Which this appears to solve... |
