I miss all my dogs so much.
They have been the absolute greatest joy in my life and I'm thankful for the time I had with them. I can't even imagine having relationships that rewarding with other humans. Those of you that have had that with other people are so fortunate. |

  She showed up in the yard 1 day before a 4 day camping trip, she was here when we got back. We were down to out last dog,Cookie, another rescue but she was old, 16, when we put her down last year. We had to have another buddy for Gypsy so we got Ace last month. They are a perfect fit. He is only 9 month's, per the vet, and has made himself at home.  Same campsite 3 years ago with Cookie and Harry who we had to put down at the ripe old age of 15 also. |

Here is my goodest girl Dixie. She is nine years old and is part Lab, Terrier and God knows what else. We got here at the Wisconsin Humane Society and this pic was taken two days ago on Christmas Day.

Read all 22 pages in the thread. Many of you are blessed with such good companions.
No dogs for us at the moment unless the neighborhood farm dogs stop by to say hi, or we visit friends and family who own them. Wish I had the time and situation to get a couple boar hunters trained and spend weekends doing that. |
