It's hard to beat but it can be beaten.

Everyone, OP is going to have to spend a LOT of money to save this baby if he can save it.

Maybe we need to throw some funds his way.

I will give a little, if there is a setup for that.

(If you walk into a room with rottie pups and say "parvo" they will get it.  They are insanely susceptible.)

I wonder if that is why she got dumped?  I did not know that about Rotties…You think that is what she is?   One breed I’ve never really been around.

Oh, shit. I was wondering if the new one was healthy. Money inbound if you need it for the new one, or both. Hopefully just the new one and Rudy is OK.

New pup still hanging in there.  If she makes it today and tomorrow, I think she has a shot from what I've read.  Still waiting to hear about Rudy.  They are giving him another vaccination shot and will be under observation since it can take up to a week to show symptoms but can come home today I think.  Will have to keep him away from the zoo for a while though just in case.

If he has parvo I strongly urge you to buy canned goats milk and baby rice cereal and force feed him. I have saved many of pups by doing this. Without it-he will die from dehydration.

Fingers crossed and holding breath for the pups!

They are at the vet.  One on fluids/iv already.   Thanks for the info though!

Rudy has been released.  Told to still watch him for a week or so, but all signs are good.  New pup still at vet but fighting.  Everything I've read says 48 to 72 hours after showing symptoms are critical so crossing fingers we get through today.

Super skinny white dog showed up at our sod field yesterday and the boss told me to take him to get checked out.  I think I'm starting to be a bad influence around here.  Gotta gain some weight before being treated for everything.  I guess we have a new office/shop dog   Will post pictures later.  Running late this morning and forgot my phone at home.  It's been so peaceful so far, lol, I kinda hate to grab it at lunch.

I had an Australian Shepherd that got parvo when he was a pup. He pulled through it fine but if I hadn't taken him to the vet right away I doubt he would have. Hoping yours have the same luck since you caught it right away, they can get seriously dehydrated in short order.

Vet called to let me know I can take little pup home today.  Said she's eating well, antibiotics seemed to have done their job.  When I saw those missed calls from this morning, was not expecting this news.  Still will need to keep her seperated (and Rudy) for at least a little while but everything is looking good.  Made my day    I'm almost tempted to call her Rocky now.  But she will need a name....

That’s great to hear!!

My sister had two dogs from the same litter when I was young.  One caught parvo.  He survived, but he was never right in the head after that.  Just kinda crazy and unpredictable.   Was hoping that wouldn’t be the case here.

Thanks for the new pics, OP.

Unfortunately, our cat was killed on Saturday after he went into the neighbors yard (hasn’t done that in 4+ years) and their pit got hold of him. He was having some health issues that were becoming more severe, so I half wonder if he did suicide by pit.

Regardless, glad to see there are some animals coming out of bad places.

They both are being hyper.  They can hear/probably smell each other but vet says 3 week quarantine for new pup.  Gonna be a long 3 weeks but we gotta be safe.

It’s been a popular dropping off spot for years and I think it’s been getting worse because people talk locally when I take them in.   Had the post office clerk even mention that a few years ago.   I do try to find homes for most and have been fairly successful.  I’ve also had more than a few die because they were just too far gone.
Purely guessing but I think Rudy is around 4 months.  He was small but eating solid food when I found him around the first of April.

Rudy had the initial shot but got a second Tuesday.  He was the only one around the new pup in that time frame.  I just knew he was positive but vet says nope but to keep an eye on him for a little while.

Thanks. He was a rescue cat and knew he won the lottery by ending up with us. He was also the first/only pet my wife and I have had, so it stung a little more than other animals we’ve each lost in the past.
