Maybe they meant summer in Texas?  Boeing's Stayliner might be back before TMags come out.

And the Stayliner made it home, sans krewe.

Every time I open up my YouTube I see a little dot next to the Magpul icon. I'm hoping each time I click on the dot it will be the tmags. Unfortunately they continue to push purses, Fanny packs and other items that no one asked for.

Maybe someone high up at Magpul saw this and other threads and got moving. Didn't want to be upstaged by Boeing.

They needed a screwdriver to open the machine, but no one could find a screwdriver as the shop was buried in piles to t-shirts and sunglasses. As a result, for years they wandered the shop aimlessly unable to produce any new products.

Then in 2021Magpul found out someone at Zev may own a screwdriver, so they partnered to finally get the FMG to market. When the guy from Zev came over with the screwdriver, he was unfortunately fatally buried in a landslide of belts, hats, and stickers.

As a result of these challenges, Magpul has had severe difficulties releasing new products since 2008, and they can't get the machine open that they need for the Tmags. If someone has a screwdriver please reach out to them.

Thanks for the link. They sold 51% of their controlling interest. Interesting. The company technically didn't get outright sold, at least. That's a surprising move - I thought Magpul was successful enough to not need outside investors to that extent.

ETA: Just saw that this occurred back in 2011. That's not such a surprising move then. They were still a young company back then. I was thinking that someone was saying the whole company got handed over like a Cerberus situation.

No tax, free shipping over $75 and it also has a $10 off code to use at the top of the page.

I’m still on the fence about ordering, I want them because it’s different but might hold off.

Not coincidentally, 2011 was the year that magpul's last video was released.  It's because of some NY investment firm that we do not have "Art of the Dynamic MRE Spoon".

It's variation from rifle to rifle.  I have one AR that takes a bucketload of force to lock a full lancer with the bolt closed.  Most are normal, and a couple somewhere in the middle.  The mags themselves are consistent.

Realistically it's a tolerance stack problem and Lancer mags are simply less tolerant of a rifle towards the stack limit.  I'm sure they have a team of engineers saying "our mags are fine if the rifle is to spec", but many other mags don't have the same sensitivity.  Pmags and USGI mags plop right into my problem rifle.
That they're specifically noting the 22% force reduction to load with closed bolt shows they know it is a concern.

Having said all of that I still think they are the best mags.  If I only had 1 or 2 mags I would want them to be Lancers.  Tmags at ~$24 MSRP are basically pointless to me when smoke Lancers can be had for ~$10-12.  They need to cost less than Lancers out in the wild.

But Magpul has plenty of well earned loyalists and they'll sell 'em just fine.
