Just got this Delta elite worked on by a smith

Trigger job, ramped barrel and frame cut so I can stop getting brass bulges, full length guide rod, diamond carbon coated, and a front strap/mainspring stippling job

There are probably better pistols but there is nothing more elegant that sending a dirtbag to hell with a 1911.

I finally scratched my GI-style 1911 itch with one of the 9mm Charles Daly guns made by Brixia. Good solid basic copy of it that doesn't look out of place next to my Garand but in a much more convenient caliber for actually using it.

Lot of nice ones, I'll post this one again.

Need to get an updated pic with the new thumb safety.

Here's my Rock Island Armory FS (Model 51431) that I picked up in 2016.  Absolutely flawless performance from an inexpensive 1911!!

I ordered a pair of custom made checkered grips with the USCG logo (since I'm a retired "Coastie").

Sonofabitch....if you ever decide to sell that, shoot me PM. Been wanting to build one (more like have one built) since I saw some fellow Marines carrying a couple years ago.

@colt_thompson
What wall hangers are you using in that picture?

It's slot wall with slot wall hooks
I put a piece of clear plastic tubing over the hook so it doesn't mark up the guns

Thanks.  Had it since 2008.  It's never malfunctioned and carries nicely.

About a year and a half back I picked up a Tisas Stingray n 9mm. It has been flawless through almost 4000 rds and is absolutely my favorite carry pistol these days.  I DO have an old steel Ed Brown bobtail .45, but it is seriously heavier than the Tisas. Two thumbs up for some of the sub $500 gun market offerings these days

Sometimes I feel crazy having ~$10k worth of 1911s, then I see these pics that are worth more than the house I grew up in....
