Go out in the street near some trees.
There is probably one waiting for you to pick up

This, a savage rascal would be ideal for OP,cheap and plenty accurate, a good pellet gun would do as well....

If you ate at a McDonalds in the 90s, then you've already eaten roo.

Their Australian beef supplier was caught using roo as filler meat.

Here me out, I'm just saying, one good raccoon is probably as much meat as 6-8 squirrels, and probably tastes similar.

You think Brisk's city slicker family members will know the difference?

Squirrels are surprisingly scarce where he lives, so hunting them is not to be relied on.  Hunting them at my suburban home is out of the question for multiple legal reasons.

Where can I get squirrel?  Whole, butchered, doesn't much matter.  The one place I found online was $99 per squirrel, which is a bit out of budget.

Plant walnut trees it seems they grow squirrels, but that takes about 10 years,  Likely you will have to find out the season and hunt your own. There may also be a trapping season.

Trap

A couple rat traps with peanut butter should get you some squirrels. Just check them often.

It fell off the boat.

(I'll admit, a shotgun was not what I thought of for squirrels.)

You’ve got squirrels in your backyard, but can’t or won’t use a pellet rifle?  Ok . . . make some squirrel snares.  They’re simple and they work.

It’s embarrassing to read that someone wants to BUY squirrel meat, when squirrels are about the easiest thing to kill on the planet.

Stick some traps out, you'll get plenty.

Live or kill traps either or.

Buy a 22, a hunting license, and go hunt some nearby public land.

The good news is almost nobody squirrel hunts anymore, so you will have the woods to yourself.

I remember when I was like 12 or 13 and me and my friend discovered squirrel hunting in the hood. Suburban neighborhood.

Mom got all bent out of shape, saying we were killing all the squirrels.

lol

Come over to my place.  I've trapped about 10 of the buggers in the last few months.  I relocate them to a park not too far away.
