IL. Substituting the chicken was an almost $5 upcharge, then sales tax. I think the base meal is over 10 here. I don't remember the exact price, just the crazy upcharge and the total. For that cost, they should have given me the beef and chicken.

Better, more variety, and a better value. It was not too long ago that I got three beef tacos, two chicken tacos, and a spicy grilled chicken burrito for $2.97 plus tax (Del Taco can have some crazy coupons and deals and lets you stack them).

I got seven real tacos from a Mexican place on Tuesday for about $8 after tax. Taco Bell is not a very good value.

It seems like we're in a death spiral where wage demands for unskilled labor are racing to price the goods they make/serve out of existence.  How does a Trump economy fix that?

It's been two decades since tacos were $1.50. Perhaps while complaining about how expensive everything is, and how fast food is not a career paying $16/hr you could have thought about the economic impact on fast food.

For real...it's been 20 years, or close to it.

Watched the news, one of the Seattle news stations went out and bought a soft taco, cheesy gordida crunch and a crunch wrapped supreme from 7 different Taco Bells from around the Seattle area.
https://www.kiro7.com/news/local/thursday-530-same-food-different-prices-based-where-youre-buying/C6HSWILMCRDCJOVD5DJ5GWPPXU/

Everett - $16.90
Eastside Seattle - $22.04

Taco Bell menu pricing -
Cheesy Gordida Crunch = $5.19
Soft Taco = $1.79
Crunch wrapped supreme = 5.59
Total = $12.57

I ran it against the only Taco Bell in the area and the price came out to be $13.98 with the soft taco being the only one that was the same as the on-line Taco Bell menu.

I eat at the Local Railbertos.
Cheaper and better.

1. Use the app
2. Not doing combos at Taco Bell is a fail
