It is BS as far as I know...

I was asked about it 7 years ago, just after I got out of AF basic...

Sounds like something the Army would do

The story I always heard involved Navy bootcamp.

A program once tried and discarded because it DID NOT WORK.  Anyone who threw a card, got mobbed by the Drills.  Kind of a 'here I am, shoot me' sign.

It is always somebody who knew somebody who saw it at another post. Nobody has ever seen it with their own eyes.

we didn't have stress cards but we did have time outs.

only had one guy use it and he got rolled back 4 weeks.  After that noone even considered it :P

eta: this was navy book camp in 1989.  C152 in Orlando.

Actually, this was tried in Navy boot camp in the late 90s. It was covered thoroughly in the Navy Crimes.

It lasted about two seconds. I remember an Chief Petty Officer who came to our ship after pushing boots telling me about it. He told them if they took it out he would "fucking kill them."

Urban myth though I had heard of it when in the military I never found someone who actually had them. I did have a pair of report chits which were basically the back-asswards of the stress chit. If a DI wanted he could pull one of the report chits out of your pocket and chew your ass later/better when he had more time.

We have the same thing (at least I think we still do) called an AETC form 341.  They can be "pulled" for good or bad things, but its a damn rare occasion that you hear "give me a 341" and don't clench up.

Here it is for all my fellow zoomies that thought they had seen their last one.

We had something pretty similar in OCS.
