Help the dumb guy please.
 My contract says I get a 15x15 stone patio, which is 225 square feet, but we are building the patio in a circle. What diameter circle would give me 225 sq ft? Thanks |

Oh! That's the radius. 16.93 But I'll bet you get one that fits inside a 15x15 square instead

a = 3.14(r^2)
a is 225, so... 225 = 3.14(r^2) r^2 = 71.66 r = 8.47 So, 8.47 * 2 (for the diameter) gives us 16.94 feet. I'd just make it 17 feet and call it close enough.  |

Don’t forget that if you lay square tile in a circle, you will have a lost of wasted material due to the cuts.
Make certain to allow for waste so that you don’t run short of material. |
