You know the one I'm refering to? Its legs look kinda like blades with a row of hole going down the side. I've seen a pic of one on an AR-15 posted by someone here but now I can't find it or one sold by the vendors that frequent our forum. Any help?

Forget the "boat-anchor" and get yourself a Harris BRM-S, it's probably the most popularly used bipod on-site.

My local gun shop has one.  He actually fitted it quite well, by notching hte barrel so that it wouldn't wobble. He also put on a M203 upper handguard.  It looks really crazy...  I'll see if I can get a picture up from him.

Damn, I found it but it only fits round handguards which defeats my purpose. looks like harris will be it. I had originally been planning on a Harris or Versipod but got a wild hair and got to thinking about the M60 style. Oh well.

They have it HERE and I would love to have one, It's great because it attaches onto the bayonet lug, but damned if I have the $295 they want for it to spend on a bipod (plus it looks like their welds are rusting).

Thanks but that one wouldn't work either, as theres no bayonet lug on the rifle I have in mind, much less an AR-15 lug.

Not quite M60 (which is too heavy for the AR15, IMHO)---but check this out  from rock creek barrels:

Why on earth would anybody go to any effort to find something patterned on the M60 bipod; one of the most shit-for-brains devices ever foisted off on US military personnel?

GG&G makes a nice bipod that fits onto a rail fore-end.
