Does anyone offer a FDE ambi lower/upper combo? I've seen some FDE upper/lower combos, but never an ambi set.

Looks really good to me. You need to finish it off by coating the magnifier. Great first post Thank you sir. I was inspired by the FDE painted sniper rifle depicted on the inside front cover of Chris Kyle's book (American Sniper). I intentionally did not paint any flexible rubber surfaces (i.e. magnifier body, tape switch, and tape switch cord) as they would immediately chip/crack and fall off upon use. Other than the plastic eye-piece on the magnifier body, every metal/plastic surface on the gun has been duracoated in Magpul FDE. The paint job was done about a year ago and aside from some contact wear through normal use, it has held up very nicely. Thanks for the feedback! Here is a picture of the rifle that inspired mine if you haven't seen/read the late Mr. Kyle's book. http://i1057.photobucket.com/albums/t382/III_M1KE_III/slide_206631_645841_huge.jpg |
