I just joined the AR club and bought my first one!  It's the RRA Entry Tactical.  So far I think I've put about 100 rounds through it with no kinks.  I was able to hit a six inch paper plate with iron sights at 100 yard.  I am very pleased.  I just wanted to vent some of my excitement

I'd love to hear anybody's experiences with this gun and any tips with it.

Entry tacs are good rifles....they will shoot well the Heavy barrel under the handguards ensures good accuracy and does not unbalance the rifle much.

Over all nice choice shoot the piss out of it.

Great choice! I've put almost 3000 rounds through mine. Gotta love the 2-stage trigger. No tips for this gun that you wouldn't get for any other. Just shoot it, clean it, repeat.

Yea I went to a gun show held here at the Ky fairgrounds, and was dead set on gettin a M&P.  I walked around the whole show multiple times playing with every AR I could find, and out of them all I liked the over all feel of this gun.  Plus I had grand on me and the m&p was 1050 with the dealer eatin the tax, the RRA had an extra magazine and a sling with it.  I was a lil bummed when I got home and looked up the specs and saw that the RRA didn't have a chrome lined barrel, but oh well.  I'm not gonna be puttin 1000+ rounds through it in a weekend so it shouldnt affect me too much.  I have to say I absolutely love the grip that came on it, expecially compared to the average AR grip.

If any one has pics of their rig, I'd like to see them

I think im leaning towards an eotech down the road and a magnifier.

I joined the AR Club myself back in April of this year.   My choice?   The RRA Entry Tactical.   I've only put 300-400 rounds through it and like you, I've had no problems with it.   I purchased a cheap HWS site for it and mounted it on a 4x scope.    I didn't spend tons of money on the sites but it's worked for me.

Good Luck!

Here is my Entry tactical...I bought at a local pawn shop here thats a big time gun dealer for $1050 about 6 months ago.Its gone through many small upgrades...but runs great and never had a hic-up'
I guess its had about 500 rounds of Aim Surplus M193, some winchester 5.56 and all kinds of my reloads.I never shot any steel cased ammo and never plan to.
Has Aimpoint CompML2 and DD Omga and Vickers Sling,I am fixing to put this aimpoint on my 10.5 LMT and put a Mark AR 1.5-4x20 on the RRA here.
Oh yeah...tactical handle is in a drawer someplace...

I did think of a tip...Bump Fire...might want to try that....daayummm Fun.

Those are some great lookin guns and thanx for the warm welcome!

Quick question though, I've read on a few threads here and there that the entry tactical has a 1:7 twist rifleing but if you go on RRA's website, it says that is has a 1:9 twist,  Can anyone clear that up for me?  I mean I would obviously go with what the company says, but i've seen this quite a few times

Photobucket can eat sh*t and die. It says download and send photos for "Free" but when I click on to the websight
thats saved in my 'favorites' along with my previous downloaded pics the 'download pic' abilitity is now absent.
I guess they want me to Join and Pay.
Is there a way to send a pic directly from my 'Documents'? I wanted to post a pic of my RRA Entry Tac.

Near the top of this page, there is a link to the "Industry" forum where you can find a Rock River sub-forum. Some good info there about RRA, yeas and nays, tips, etc
Congrats on your "entry" to AR's (pun intended).

I am not a great expert on Photo Bucket but have had the same free account over 6 years i am sure. What i do is download the pics from my pictures to one album, its huge over 30 pages.Mine is free account but way under the max bandwidth. What i do after the pics in the album is click on it,right click it, copy the properities URL then paste that on the forum page after ya hit that picture Insert tag at the bottom of the page.Or go find a teenager they can show ya.

Standard RR Entry Tact twist is 1:9, I do not believe they offer 1:7. There was a couple options on these for chrome lined bbl, but of course this cost's extra (and should show on the paperwork). I had 2 RR Tactical Entry model RR1259 on back order forever, gave up and built a couple instead. Finally one came in, these are great shooters. Some folks do not care for RR rifles, I like'em just fine. They go bang just like my Colt, BCM, BM, and the others.
That 1:9 barrel will shoot most rounds just fine, may not like the heavies. You have a nice rifle!

You will love the RRA ET. That was also MY first AR.

And don't worry a bit about the lack of chrome lining. Most sources say an unlined barrel is more accurate anyway, and since we don't normally encounter corrosive primers, it ain't as big an issue as some would have you think.

Welcome to AR15.com and welcome to the contagious disease that is black rifle ownership.

my entry tactical is 1:7 chrome lined. there's a barrel code list in the RRA industry forum, look it up and you'll know for sure.

I learn something everyday. I never noticed Rock River offered a 1:7 barrel till yesterday. The only barrel I saw listed in 1:7 was a lightweight, how long have they offered this? When I ordered my 2 rr1259 rifles, I cannot remember having that option. Even tho I prefer the standard heavy barrel, I woulda considered the lw 1:7.
I still like Rock River as a shooter, actually I like most AR rifles, but have a short list that I will buy from. Enjoy...

My slightly modified Entry Tactical.

Been a great stick.  No hangups yet.  Puts all the rounds in a nice neat hole.
