So I took my $570 DPMS 5.56 Oracle with 16" Carbine Barrel and $40 Quad and $70 MBUS to the range today.

shot PMC Bronze 55gr FMJ .223 ammo.. with wind of 7-12mph..

here is the 'irons' at 100 yards.. (note I only have a 12" sight radius post-to-post, and not the normal 14.5" most AR's have)

about 5" or so @ 100 yards..



here is the 1st group with the Bushnell Trophy Red Dot with 3MOA T dot setup. (about 4 1/2" x 3" group)



last 8 shots from a mag.. with the same 3MOA red dot..



Then shooting at 200 yards..

Iron Sights.. nothing great but about 8' x 11"



Then group 1 with the red dot (which is 6" at 200 yards.. FWIW).. @ 200 yards..



Second group at 200 yards.. (not the shots in the circles).. measured to a 5" group..



Overall a good day to test everything out..

may have to shift the sights to the RIGHT abit to get centered.. or it could have been the wind..

adjusted the red dot 2 clicks over and 2 clicks down..

which equates with this red dot of 1" @ 100 and 2" @ 200 adjustment numbers in the booklet..

so 4" back to the right @ 200 and 4" down @ 200 yards.

or  2" back to the right @ 100 and 2" down @ 100 yards.

more testing in 3 weeks..  

got a MagPul RVG coming is so I can hold-on better whilst standing and shooting..

just ordered 300 rounds of the PMC XTAC 62gr (M855) from Palmetto..

figured the next outing I can tighten the group up (since I adjusted the RD and Irons) and get her in the 'X' ring..  

going to run the IRON test again @ 100 and 200 yards...  

then some standing and shooting drills with clays and water bottles and alternate the targets..
