All of my RIS IIs have helicoil inserts in the lower rail attachment holes and the M203 hanger attachment holes. The spare screw holes and bolt up screw holes do not have helicoils. My oldest RIS II is dated February 2008.

Absolutely sold on converting my block 1.5 to a block II. Does anyone have a lead on a FDE RIS II? Missed a great deal on one by 15 minutes. Or does anyone want to sell theirs?

Watch the EE like a hawk, they pop up pretty often, and they move fast. Block II is best block by far you, won't regret it, but your wallet will.

The FDE M4A1 RISII rails are pushing $1500 on EBAY now. Prices on the EE will be less but not for long if they continue to sell on Ebay so high.

Unfortunately I've got to leave the m4 block II community for a while.  Buying a house and an unexpected expense came up so the Block II has to go.  Hopefully once everything is under control i'll be able to get another one built.  Check the EE soon if you're looking to get into a block II gun.

We've seen KAC FF RAS go for that money on ebay when they "weren't made anymore."  The thing is that the DD rails ARE still made, just not easily available as they used to be.

Shit, buy a DD M4A1 milspec and swap out the handguard with anything decent so you can keep the RIS and you'll make that money right back...

I love clones, but when an SF3P is available for 1/5th that price, and works just as well, if not better...

I needed a better Home Defense tool without time to get to the range to re-zero a red dot gun.  My block 2 is the only ar I'm a 100% sure of the Irons zero.  Pulled an Aimpoint out of the safe and zeroed to the irons.  It's actually a pretty nice setup.  I think the ACOG may stay off and my Mark 4 will end up here once I get a chance to re-zero an HD gun.

so i'm nearing completion of having all the upper parts for my block II build, next step is to get the lower (im getting one of Braceman's works of art), question is, which is the "proper" M4A1 lower? if im doing a clone may as well do it right! these are the 3 variations of M4A1 i could find.

p.s., also building a Mod-0, should be able to use an identical M4A1 for that as well right?

A is the correct one.

MOD 0, I assume you mean MK18 or MK12, is M16A1 lower for both.
