I searched 3 times and didn't see a thread for 20 incher's...so what are you waiting for?  I need some inspiration while I wait for my new PSA 20" FDE upper to be delivered!  (Bonus points for FDE 20 incher's!)

Awesome!  If this lasts for over 4 hours, I'll have to see a doctor, right?

I was really on the fence, damn near bought a 16" mid length but I already have a 16" M4 profile so I wanted something different.

I got the regular chrome lined CMV barrel...I couldn't see spending the extra for the FN barrel since I will never shoot it enough to justify double chrome lining and all...

Please, understand that I am doing all I can do.  I'm praying to God for strength and guidance.  But no matter what I do I just cant grasp the concept of an AR15 with wood furniture on it.

I will say that the wood is certainly quite nice looking, the grain is nicely raised and the contrast is very eye catching.... but ...  I ...  just.... cant fully give you a high five.

My lame ass contribution:

Colt MT lower with Geissele DM trigger and an A1 butt stock; upper is a Bushmaster from a tax-time sale they ran about 5 years ago.
To be honest though, I've only got maybe 500 rounds through it, and I'm at a loss as to what to do with it; I really prefer my light-weight 14.5" carbine. The 20" is just too unhandy to be much fun or very practical for me, and better sights (optical) will just make it even heavier.

This is a couple years old and I need to update the pic.

The rifle now sports a correct A1 grip and the CHICOM knock-off scope is gone.

Here are my 20s:

First up is my A4:

BCM stripped upper with an FN A2 barrel
KAC handguards with a KAC VFG
MATech BUIS
Trijicon TA-31RCOA4
McKay lower with a Stag LPK and Spikes battle trigger
MIAD grip and Magpul triggerguard
USGI stock
PSA BCG

Next is my A2
Unknown upper with an FN A2 barrel
GI handguards and stock
Stag lower with Stag LPK
FN bolt with an A marked BCG (Armalite FA carrier I guess)

And my A1
All Colt with the exception of the lower (Nodak) and the barrel (SAK)

And finally my SPRish build
Stripped BCM upper with a Black Rain Ordnance 1/8 polygonal rifled, medium contour, barrel
Smith Vortex FH
Yankee Hill hanguard and bipod adapter (Harris bipod)
Yankee Hill BUIS front and rear
DD BCG
Burris 2.5X10 Euro DIamond scope with a LaRue SPR mount.
Stag Lower with DPMS LPK and Spikes Battle Trigger
MOE grip and Magpul triggerguard
Model 1 Sales A2 stock (soon to be replaced by either the PRS or upcoming MOE rifle stock)

And those are all of my 20s.    Everything else is a carbine.

Good - I'm glad I built it for me, and not for you.  You can keep your high five.

It started with a stripped LRB lower my wife gave me on our anniversary. I added an UBR stock, MIAD grip and an ordinary LPK.

Trigger is a Geisselle SSA-E. Great for a precision AR

Upper receiver is a VLTOR MUR. It's forged, stiffer than the standard forged upper and only weighs an ounce or so more. The stiffness should help with consistency of the rifle.

The handguard is a carbon fiber PRI Delta. Carbon fiber keeps the weight down and stays cool even when a lot of shots are fired. I didn't need rails so they were removed.

I added a QD cup for a sling

The carrier is from FailZero and the bolt came with and was matched to the 20" stainless Hbar profile Lothar Walther barrel with 223 Wylde chamber and 1:8 twist. Scope is a Leupold MkIV 10x robbed from another rifle. This rifle is very consistent and accurate. Here is a 30 shot group shot with Federal 55 gr bulk ammo.

Here is another 30 shot group at 300 yards with the same ammo. It's about 7 inches across.

The groups are much tighter with match ammo. The bullets touch at 100 yards. I haven't taken any photos of the groups shot with match ammo

It used to have a 1.0 Battlecomp, but it was removed to be installed on a carbine build. Now it has an A2 birdcage.

It's so accurate that I know if I miss, it's me. Can't wait to take it to a prairiedog town
