Greetings all

First post and a new AR-15 owner.

I am hoping I have put this in the correct forum, forgive me if I messed up :)

I have a problem seeing the adjustable tip on the sight tower at the end of my barrel. Since it is black, and my manual forward sight is black, I am having a horrible time aiming with no contrast between the two sites.
I went to Bud's and thought there may be a white sight dot I could add but no luck
Before I put some white paint on it, I wanted to ask here if anyone has a better solution

Not ready for a scope just yet, just want to aim manually
Thanks in advance for any ideas or suggestions

Trijicon front site post.  Paint would be a heck of a lot cheaper though.

How the heck are you storing your AR if you're homeless?

It should just fine on your rifle. I'm not aware of anyone making a proprietary front sight post. Here's the link for the front sight:

Colt green front sight

This is the sight we have on all our department rifles. It's very bright at night and easy to pick up during the day. It is also easy to adjust. However, it's thicker than the standard post so it covers more of the target. It's fine for combat accuracy, though.
