Could the fins on the heat sink be trimmed down? |

I was trying to find some quantifiable benefit on finned bbls and ran across this ; https://www.aimt.cz/index.php/aimt/article/view/1254/285
Would be neat to have TEG unit and fan that draws air through the rear of the handguard and blows it out the front in conjuction with the finned bbl . |

I'd love to get a hold of one of the FN double chromed barrels like Noveske sells and have it cut to 18" with rifle length gas, SDM profile and fluting behind a pinned mk12 gas block...

I got made fun of on reddit about water cooling a suppressor. |

Anyone else think an MGI Hydra upper would be interesting on one of these?
Could swap out a hot barrel pretty quickly. I've also wanted to experiment with a barrel wrapped in plumber's felt, soaked with water for evaporative cooling. It would also give you a way to grab a hot barrel safely if also applied to the exposed portion. |

thats the barrel i ended up going with too, but i dont have faith in their chrome lining process, i heard green mountain is highly regarded for durability.
if i could do it all over id get one of their 20 inchers with a JP heat sink 3 times as much but i believe it might be worth it |
