very nice !!!!!!
can we hope to see the URX II on the civilian market sometimes soon ? |
DAMN DAMN DAMN
Nice set-up. Is any of that KAC stuff available, or soon to be? What color are the panels? Olive Drab? They seem to be the same, or pretty close to the color of the Vltor stock, is that right? |
That looks terrific SMGLee!
This would be my first glimpse of the URXII Most impressive! Did I read they require factory installation? and if so, why? |
Very nice...
Now please give explicit details on how to get a new mid-length one so I can replace my rifle length URX! |
Sweet setup!
No fair, SMGLee always get the nicest toys... Hey, where's the KAC flip-up front sight? |
Not anytime soon, at least not until the military made up their mind about what rail system they are going to go with...
I try... :)
Its an Eval unit... but I don't paln on giving it back. |

The color is a ball park match but not a total match... The URX is not yet available for public consumption.
Glad you guys like it.
I will try to get sometime and post some pics of thje URX and LMT MRP together this weekend. It does require factory installation or MSTN installation since Wes is the only other person besides KAC that have the special tool.. says something for MSTN... :) |

I took what I can get..... and ran. :)
Too many peeps with hardwood floor posting gun porn, I figure I make a change.. ;) |

Hi Chen, Just want to know how the rail attach to the upper receiver? It doesn't look like it uses a clamp. Thanks
URX acts like a barrel nut, how the unit is secured and indexed is still a trade secret I believe. I was told not to take any detail photos of the inner working of the URX2. Maybe Cold Blue might want to clarify that. Sorry for the none answer.... |

IM sent |

Man, too cool. Not only do you get a URX II, but you get a tan anodized URX II. Wow.
Very Very Cool
You need a FF M203 and BOTB can I wont hijack Chen's (well this one ) thread - I have previosuly put up some pics of the URX elsewhere - with as much of the lower / bbl nut alignment as KAC wants out at this momement. |
Post away brother.. we are all here to share... I bet the guys would love to see those pictures... |
Kevin,
Nice pics.... middy... hmmmmmm. I plan on getting some pictures of the URX, MRP and LaRue in a comparison this weekend.. more pictures to come... |
I will send it to you as soon as i am done with it... I will have it at the Burro shoot next weekend. |
I like the 203 mount and is that a Dr. Optic I see in that 203 sight?
Those are some great pics Chen & Kevin – keep 'em coming...
Chen: DO you plan to keep your URX with the stock LMT barrel or do you have some more "creative" plans for it down the road? |
Altav, I don't plan on making any changes, I was trying to decide between a Diemaco C8A1 barrel or the M4, I finally settled on the M4... URX find a good home on my LMT upper. More pictures as requested.... Comparison of MRP, LaRue rail and the URX2...and a family of LaRue mounts. |
So KAC has come back with the white laser engraving numbers on the URX2? Since RAS, RIS and RAS M5 is this the first one to wear numbers again?
Is there a reason they want FULL travel for the front sling swivel? I take it this Rail isn't FF then?
I was wondering about the sling swivel too, but the URX2 is FF.
it is free float.... |
That's what I thought, so why go through the trouble to make sure the sling swivel can stay and keep it's full range of motion?
Chen,
How does the KAC compare with the LaRue? Which one do you like better? |
