Where can I find a magpul lower receiver? Was it a limited production?

I guess on gunbroker, with a couple thousand dollars... FYI, the Arfcom billet lower is the exact same lower as the Magpul (only with a different roll mark), they bought the rights to it I believe, and they are readily available.

I suspect someone is going to copy them and import them from China.

Here is the Arfcom lower.

I traded a bass guitar for a Magpul/Vltor edition airsoft gun with an official Magpul PTS lower. I will probably end up selling it but at least I can say I've handled a gun with a Magpul Lower....

Dude seriously, just get the ARFCOM lower or the new S&W/Magpul branded rifle announced at this years SHOT that are forged.

The China dolls (Above) maybe the rarest of the Magpul lowers but they lack a key feature, the ambi bolt release.

Once everything is together the ARFCOM lower looks great and it is top notch.  Here's mine:

What makes the ARFCOM lower worth so much and why is it better than say a BCM which can be had for around the same price but complete?  Serious question.

The trigger, Bad safety lever, Ambi controls, the stock and grip.

OK, what makes the magpul a better lower. I'm not being smart, I really don't know. I'm already in the process of planning out a future build.

You could also get the S&W MOE version that even has Magpul on the receiver.

I've never seen anyone selling them for MSRP, usually a couple hundred less, and even at that, still less than the original Magpul lowers.

They are billet, weaker than forged (a tiny, tiny bit, you'll never notice the difference), but looks cooler.  Ambi bolt release, either good or meh depending on your point of view.

I'm guessing, Billet $ vs Forged, not any better just more $

According to Drake of Magpul, it's a forged version of their billet design.  (1:34 min mark)  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IrAbzxfK7OI

Maybe he misspoke, idk.

Who makes the ARFCOM lowers?

Consider a Noveske Gen II lower, the are a similar profile and about $250.

I have an a S&W with the magpul forged lower and it's nice as well. I love the one piece trigger guards.

The ambi bolt release would be the biggest attraction to me.
