I got a hold of a few A1 uppers with the shitty DPMS a1 aperture that doesnt even have a day/night. it is just a repetitive small aperture. So I went to switch them out. I got a hold of an A2 aperture and a same plane A2 aperture.

This is where I am becoming super confused.  It seems as though on an M16A1 the bezeled ends of the aperture face towards the target and on the A2s the bezeled end faces the shooter?

sooo.... WTF? what is the correct orientation? Does it even matter?
First and foremost Im just looking for an answer, but it would be awesome if someone could really explain this to me.

Do the mods only want the OMG LOOK AT MY GUN threads in the actual AR discussion? I see so many posts get moved to these subforums with no traffic, thanks

Some of us actually spend more time in the specialized technical forums than in AR Discussion (or, Goddess forbid, GD.)  Classification is a good thing IMO.
