Quoted: Looking for a new upper. Thinking about the Geissele MK4 rail. What about the 9.5 inch rail with a 14.5 inch M4 profile barrel? Or should I go with the 13 inch rail instead? Does anyone has a picture of a Geissele 9.5 inch rail with a longer barrel? Thanks! The longer the rail the better. Protects your hand from the hot barrel, long sight radius, better placement of attachments, etc... |

For the reasons listed already, go for the 13” rail. It’s also a lot easier to dive the gun around with your hand a couple inches further forward. Especially if you add heavy crap like lights, lasers, or cans.

Thanks all! Will use the 13 inch rail then for the 14.5 inch barrel and maybe build a 10 inch upper with the MK4 9.5 inch rail.
