Yes, the classic mag driven AR-10 is currently all the rage.  I respect that.  Flash back to 1994 when that dickhead Bill Clinton endorsed the Assault Weapons Ban and innovative rifle manufacturers like ArmaLite figured out a workaround with building a 7.62x51mm AR "ArmaLite" using plentifully available "high capacity" M-14 mags...  I love my 1994-2012 ArmaLite AR-10B! :)

Amen Brother!
Pmags are for little girls.

Hard to believe mine started out as a plain Jane A2 model...got her back in 2000. Actually paid almost $100 for my first 20 round mag with plunger and plastic follower.  And look at her now, all grown up.

Hell ya! Representing with the old school FF quad rail.  I just did remove my old SWS E1 quad rail.  I hated to see it go...Art at SWS was about the only game in town if you wanted rails back in the day.  I remember some guys trying to make some KAC rails work or others attaching rail sections to the Armalite fiberglass tube but that was about it.

Mine is still just like it came out of the box in early 2004 except for the addition of the scope.  It's killed a lot of deer over the years.

Who would be good to remove the "Recoil Check" and install the Armalite flash hider?

Adco.

You can remove it yourself.  Armalite put a cross pin in it through the edge of the blast enhancer, slicing through the edge of the threads.  That means there is a hole that goes all the way through the device, probably on the bottom.  Armalite hid it well, but you can tape up the barrel and take an angle grinder and start going around the circumference of the brake about 1/8 inch from the base.  Eventually you will see the pin.  Keep grinding and the pin will eventually fall out. Then the brake can be unthreaded from the barrel.  A groove will be in part of the threads from the pin, but there will be plenty of thread left to install your new muzzle device.

I think Armalite tig welded both ends and then turned it down on a lathe.  It was impossible to see without grinding.

Someone else may remember better but I think the 2-port MB with cross pins was pressed on without threads on the barrel.
It looks like yours has the two small exposed cross pins.  You may end up having to get the barrel threaded in which case I would let ADCO remove the MB and thread all at the same time.

Mine was a 2-port but had the vertical pin running up through the bottom.  That usually meant a threaded barrel so I got brave and cut mine off with a dremel and hack saw without any issues...and yes, it was threaded.

ETA: I hate this new setup for adding pictures. Never get it right.

That's what I've heard.  It does have the 2 pins running cross ways in the bottom of the 2 port brake.

After the AWB sunset Armalite sent the FH and ring.  I want it to look right, I'm ready for the brake to go.

My Favorite AR Platform (Bought the first one 20 years ago).  The GEN II Magazines are the best out there:

So while I'm going down memory lane, I found some old pics of previous setups.

My original A2 with an ML2 on an ALOSTYR hand guards complete with AWB approved 2-port muzzle break.

Just after swapping the upper to an A4 and remmoving the MB.  I think that is a Smith Vortex in it's place

New Nightforce 2.5-10x24 and a YHM Phantom flash suppressor.

Time for some Norrell's moly resin.

Added the SWS E1 handguard.

How about an SAS suppressor and a GGG flip up front.

Next came the EMOD, Larue grip and Griffin Armament Tac Comp.

Another new Nightforce and offset BUIS.

New SLR Sentry 7 gasblock

Finally the SLR ION MLOK rail and don't overlook the Silencerco MB.

What an evolution...Surely, this is the final product...except for the Omega that I'm waiting on to replace the SAS can.
