Have you guys seen this thing? Looks sweet! Wish I could be at Shot Show to check this thing out. Anyone heard when they'll be releasing it?

They mentioned/showed these off a few months back but now SHOT show is almost here, its releasing

The concept is totally absurd in my opinion, why use $60 MP5 mags when you can use Glock mags which the world is awash in, but that looks bad ass!

How would it work since the upper on an mp5 style weapon is the registered receiver and the lower on the ar15 is the registered receiver. You now have 2 serialized registered receivers sitting on each other, which is the gun's s/n???
|
|
Thats what I want with a BFS trigger
I thought they were going to have to make an upper to fit the lower because of width issues? |

B/c there are so many Uzi and HK MP5 pistols out there? A decent number but if you are going for a carbine/SMG type, why would you go for sub 30 round magazines? This is what people say is the benefit of using those gun's mags but really you need a new set of mags anyway when you go for the new PCC and then it has a manual of arms that is different from an AR that you have to remember when you are shooting. |

Exactly the 9mm mag is not designed for it. I wonder if you could put a follower that would work with the catch in a mp5 mag? If I remember right there is no extra room on the mag that would not be covered by rounds. Now it may be using some tab that acts relating to the last round in the mag laterally. |

Why indeed? https://www.bing.com/search?q=glock+17+33+round+magazine Hmmm why would I ever buy a mag that is impractical for a sidearm to start with? My point is that your argument hinges on the idea that people have those magazines then have to buy them for $30. But uzi or colt mags cost less and have a better manual of arms back slanted pistol designs. Front canting mags are even better like the mp5. Colt mags are like $15 UZI mags are like $13 MP5 mags are cheaper than the glock mags at starting at $18 and yes they do work from all reports. ATI $18 Korean $27 |

ill stick with my colt QC10 lower. Mags are cheap enough, feed 100% of the time perfect and LRBHO works 100% with no adjustments. When I did all the research deciding between glock and colt, someone complained about the colt mags fountaining the rounds out, like if you dropped one then the rounds could just all get spit out the top, I have never had this problem.

Been waiting for this one. Hopefully they get them up for sale sooner than later.

Did quartercircle10 get the lower width problem sorted out so it can be used with any upper? Last time I heard they were delaying release because the lower was to wide and they needed to design an upper to fit it.

I have two colt qc10 lower and once this one is released I'll have one of these too. Uzi, Colt / Metalform, and Cprod mags all exhibited "fountaining" when I tried them. The only 9mm AR mag I found that didn't fountain was the converted Madsen magazine which is curved, which is what I tried to get C Prod to copy when they were developing their 9mm magazine. No, Glock mags can't "fountain" since it's a single position feed magazine. I don't think MP5 magazines are likely to fountain either. Curved magazines have a more stable ammo stack. I am a little concerned that the cheap MP5 magazines seem to be dried up for the most part. That would seem to lessen the appeal of this lower, particularly considering its probable cost. |
