Just go these magpul pts(airsoft) stickers and i must say im pretty impressed.  it provides a nice grip and its a cheap mod. its cut from 3M material so its gtg imho. i wasn't aware that the rectangles on the pmags were different sizes but the stickers are arranged in order and in the right orientation so it was a breeze to install

got them from http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/magpul-pts-pmag-slip-resistant-sticker.html . shipping is a bit of a wait 2-3 weeks, but being so cheap its well worth it imho, they are $3 per pack, i bought a bunch to save on shipping

I don't see the point, but if you're happy with them who needs any more of a point?

The point is....THEY LOOK FREAKING AWESOME!

Thanks buddy for the nod on these......i love that 3m tape for pistol grips, and have obviously spilled prob. a crap metric ton of clp and such on the regions and never have i had a piece come off in the 2- 3yrs i have used it.

eta...maybe you should drop the airsoft in the name as some will just pass by not noticing that these dont matter if they were airsoft or real mags....zero.

Just a heads-up on that site.

I bought something from ehobbyasia a while back and about a week later i had Visa fraud prevention call me about a $2000+ charge to a clothing store somewhere in England... Since the company is based out of and ships from china, there's no telling what kind of shady stuff their employees are in to.

Maybe just an isolated incident or crazy coincidence, but a heads-up nonetheless.

If i cannot buy them in US, than perhaps they would for me be to much trouble than they are worth.

Is this pretty much the same texture as you can do with a wood-burner?

Well hello Sir.....those ones at rainier, funny thing...i think every order i have placed since they got those in the inventory or when i noticed yr or so ago.... i am at the checkout process, my budget got obama'd and i have to always trim something to ease the conscience, and i know 2 x for sure i specifically removed this lil $18 item outta something like for ex. a $180 shopping cart and by doing so felt as if i never even spent any money at all i showed such fiscal responsibility

I see the Rainier ones can't be used with M-rev mags, why is that? Can these PTS ones be?

i payed with PP to safe.  not sure if these work with the M pmags, probably not

the material feels like a semi-hard rubber, not hard plastic like the miad grips

how do I know what PMAGs I have?

please correct me if i am wrong, but compare a 1st gen PMag and a current windowed PMag and you'll see that the older mag has the place where the window is filled in with plastic. new non-windowed PMags dont have that slot like the 1st gens do.

edit: the newer PMags will also have the proper grooves by the baseplate so that the dust cover can attach. The old ones do not.

Yep. If you're happy with em that's all that counts. I use GI mags that drop free, so I have never felt the need to yank 'em out but ymmv.

I took grip tape (from Ikea) and cut to fit. They do need to be refreshed occasionally.

Double feeds don't usually allow even 'drop-free' mags to drop, well....free.

Maybe if they were $0.50 per mag.

Mags are consumables after all.

Looks like skate board grip tape. I would bet you my bottom dollar mcmaster-carr has it cheap.

That was my first thought too, that it looked like skateboard grip tape. It looks a little less abrasive, most griptapes I've seen are essentially sandpaper, and this looks more like textured rubber, which is probable nicer on the hands. Although, I figure if youre just putting it on mags it won't make too much of a difference.

I used a sodering iron , It's kinda fun but try not to inhale to much of the smoke .

its 3m safetywalk material, its a lot thicker than the skateboard tape, the adhesive is pretty strong

Since no one else has said it yet, I will.

Airsoft product, obviously your gun will cease to function and your magazine will fall apart.

All joking aside, they look good and if they last, could be worth it to some.
