OK I really am looking for a shoulder bag carrier for my mags and having O results looking for one. So I am hoping that there are others here that can help. I am not interested in harness or chest rig carrier platforms (HAVE SEVERAL ALREADY) but a quick grab and run shoulder bag set up that carries 4 mags and other gear.
Any sugg? |

if you dont get any replys i suggest you make your own and then market it to other ARFCOM members....im interested

Most of the gear manuf. have active shooter bags......prices go from 20 bux to the moon. eagle blackhawk 511 |

Bravo Company sells the US Peackeeper Rapid Deployment Bag, which carries 4 AR mags plus other stuff. It's fairly small and light.
5.11 makes their Bail Out Bag, which holds 6 AR mags and a ton of other stuff. I use mine as an active shooter response bag. |

how bout these? and i'm too lazy to make em hot

I have two of his products, the grab & go and the chest rig/grab & go chest rig combo. Both top notch products. I also use the 5.11 Bail Out bag. I like the BOB because it gives me a place to dump my empty magazines. |

I wish I had seen this earlier or I would have recommended the SOTech Mission Go bag, would probably be just what you were looking for. I have one, got it a few months ago when they were having a screaming sale on them. Really, really well made bag and very versatile.

I've got the Tactical Tailor grab bag. Kind of small for the price, but it works. I'd recommend getting one with mag loops in the main compartment and adding MOLLE pouches for other gear on the outside. A lot of the ones posted have the mag pouches on the outside of the bag. Having the heaviest items farthest from your body makes for very awkward carrying if you put more than a a couple mags in it.

That is exactly why I like the Sneaky Bags. Mags ride close to the body. I really wish I could try one of these bags out and assess how they ride with all kinds of dynamic movement. That is one of my primary concerns with shoulder bags (vs. chest rigs). |

Just a heads up. +1 You can get USGI surplus MOLLE bandoleers designed to hold six USGI aluminum 30-rd. magazines for $10-$20 (depending on how hard you look). I've tied a paracord loop through the eyelets along the bottom of one bandoleer to keep it from flopping around. James |

I just got the LA Police Gear Zombie Hunter Bag today, and Like it a lot already. It will hold 6 mags inside (up to 40 rd cap) and has MOLLE for more on the outside, and still has lots of room inside for other stuff. It's a lot in a compact package.
Thread > http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=1&f=158&t=1060949 I also have the Elite Survival Systems Assault pack (holds 9 x 30 rd mags with quick release buckle flaps) and several Galati shoulder bags (hold 6 x 30 or 40 rd mags with Velcro flaps, and are very inexpensive) and have had good service from those as well. |

I like this one myself. It would do well for a bail out or active shooter. I think I will be purchasing one in the future. 5.11 bailout bag |

I like the Tactical Tailor Active Shooter Bag. Has loops for eight mags inside the bag itself, molle for more stuff, and a couple small zippered pockets in the flap that covers the molle area.

The BFG one looks useful if the mags stay in while running or jumping over something. you don't want them falling out

I don't have much interest in it myself, but I don't think having them fall out would be an issue, again, based only on what I've read here. |

I don't have much interest in it myself, but I don't think having them fall out would be an issue, again, based only on what I've read here. I have this pouch. Mags are VERY secure but come out when pulled hard enough. It's a quick way to have mags on body. But it's not something to crawl around with. Maybe to walk or run with though. Also...I use Gen 1 Lancer L5's...the ribs help compound to the retention effect. But I'm not in a hurry to buy another pouch like this. Like I said...not for crawling around. You can however hold it by one magazine and gravity isn't enough for it to slip out. And without the waist strap on of course it's harder to pull them out with just the right speed. I got one of these on the way though... EDIT: Another thing....the blue force gear one is for speed in getting it on and going. Not for reinserting mags on the fly like some are taught to do. The lips on some mags will catch that material and scratch, not tear, it up and keep it from going down. Once you break the thing in...it's a bit easier. It is great for carrying other stuff besides mags as well due to its material nature of compression. When fishing I keep my wallet, phone, tools, and other stuff in it when I don't want it in my pockets and don't want to carry a tackle box. |

For $19.99, these are hard to beat. I've got three of them for different calibers, different scenarios..color coordinated of course They come with a detachable padded shoulder strap.

I use the Eagle and BlackHawk. I like the Eagle better because it is a little smaller. The BlackHawk is wider and has two belt keepers on the rear. It will lock down tighter if that is what you are looking for. I just throw it over my shoulder so I did not need the extra keeper.

Working well so far. Add an unused shoulder strap from a weapon bag or a flight kit and you've got yourself a cheap SHTF storage solution turned into a nice bandolier. Easy way to build up reserves, 9 mags, 270 rounds, keeping it stored. Took these pictures early this morning before PT to show what I'm talking about. |

I know the OP has already purchased a bag, but here's what I have. Maxpedition AS bag. 10 P-mags, room left over for other stuff. http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk58/kwrangln/bag4.jpg Once you throw it over your shoulder, you can pull out the belt strap if you have time to stop it from flopping around while moving. Belt stowed. http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk58/kwrangln/bag5.jpg Grab the ends and pull, then click around your waist. http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk58/kwrangln/bag6.jpg Remove the belt if you want, it's secured in there with velcro. http://i277.photobucket.com/albums/kk58/kwrangln/bag7.jpg I got the molle front, no external mag pouches, so it doesn't look all that tacticool. Bag is just for carrying extra, definatly not a primary mag carrier, that's what the Redi-mag, and thigh rig are for. That Maxpedition Bag is very much like a NON-tactical Eagle Creek bag I use for toting AR magazines. The height and depth of the main pocket is perfect for 13 USGI mags, and I can fit more mags in the front pocket. For transport, an old Claymore bag is a great way to carry a whole bunch of USGI 20s. You can put a stack of them (on their sides) in each pocket. The MARATAC EOD bag from CountyCom is worth a look, too. |

I love mine, tons of external pockets for magazines and even more inside for more mags and 'stuff'. Easy to attach a dump pouch too. Mags are easily accessible in the outer pouches or I can locate them on the belt/chest rig setup if I have time to do so. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y75/goretro77/gunpics2/_D306876.jpg even work with other equipment like belts and vests. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y75/goretro77/gunpics2/_D306003.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y75/goretro77/gunpics2/_D306025.jpg Works so well I got another so I can equip a 'buddy' with a quick tactical setup: http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y75/goretro77/gunpics2/_D306024.jpg The advantage of these bags are that you can carry stuff other than magazines in it while on the run. Fast to wear and take off. Easy fast access to items and magazines. Looks Kool-aid cool too. :P Links? Working Pics? |
