ETA I see what you are asking now. Not real sure. Personally I'd just buy AR15 parts and not have to worry about converting the M16. I have seen where the hammer notch is just cut off, but not real sure about the disconnector.

You could cut the auto sear catch off the hammer and cut the tail on the disconnect so the selector no longer depresses in when its in auto, but given the cost and availability of LPK's I have to ask why?
