I've had the parts for this build for awhile and just waiting to decide what color I wanted to Cerakote it. After seeing a thread in the refinishing forum I decided on a custom color of burnt bronze mixed with graphite black.

Parts used-

Noveske upper/Lower
Noveske hand guard
Magpul STR stock
Magpul grip
Blackrain BCG
BCM CH
Seekins bolt/mag release
Geissele SD3G trigger
Troy sights
Aimpoint PRO
Daniel Defense 14.5" barrel with pinned Battlecomp

Some pictures of the build-

Lapping the receiver in-

Finished product-

Here's a few pictures with my burnt bronze SBR to show the color difference. The difference is a lot more when seen in person.

Sick build. Really like the darker bronze look.
What is going on in the picture of the upper with the stainless thing sticking out of it? Are you lapping the area where the barrel extension is inserted into the receiver?

I took a picture while I was lapping the receiver. The lapping tool is turned by a drill. It's not necessary on most uppers but I use on uppers I've cerakoted as sometimes the Cerakote can make the tolerances really tight.

I was curious about this color combo, (BB and Graphite) myself.

I like it. Seems to soften the "bling" factor of straight BB and turn it into more of a working tool color.

ETA: RCC1, Some how I just didn't take you for a Blue Tape Bolt Catch Man.

There is a thread in the refinishing forum discussing the color. It's not a normal Cerakote color. It's a combination of burnt bronze and graphite black mixed at a 9 to 1 ratio.

Looks good, but you really should have gotten the MUR. Especially to match the lower, and the fact that it has the integrated hole for the NSR. Other than that, it looks great.

Your builds are truly pieces of art.

RCC, any experience with refinishing in UDE? I want to know what the ratio is for FDE and foliage green.

Wow is all I can say. Amazing looking build. Did you do the coloring yourself? If yes how hard is it to do?
