The link you posted is a thread started by me on guns that I built and cerakoted.
Both colors were custom mixed by me. Cerakote does not sell mixed colors. |

I just had my rifle cerakoted burnt bronze with 20% black, that's what they called it. Once I saw the color, I had to have it!

RCC1. those colors are awesome. I would love to the see the darker 60/40 ratio next to a "regular" burnt bronze. I have a rifle in burnt bronze with FDE furniture and I am just wondering how much darker the 60/40 ratio version you came up with is. I have a rifle that will be in need of coating pretty soon and might be mixing colors like this. "imitation is the sincerest form of flattery."

I came across MAD custom coating on instagram, they had pictures of both mixes. I asked them what the difference is.
Midnight bronze is ~60/40 mix, dark burnt bronze ~80/20 mix. They generally use graphite black instead of armor black because it is much stronger. http://madcustomcoating.com/gallery/ |
