I have a Kobra optic and the internal switch that turns it on has broke. I opened it up and it is a small metal disk that is broke. when you turn it the sight comes on. I cant seem to find any parts for the thing or anyone that can fix it. Does anyone have any ideas?

Very common with the Kobra.  There was a vendor from Texas that had spare parts years ago.  Can't remember his name.  I think his kids run the company now or sold it off.

Doug Ford, or usually goes by "Tantal". He still floats around on the AKforum.

I think i actually picked up the scope from him. I sure haven't seen him around for some time thought.

He closed down his business a few years ago due to health reasons. When he pops up online he's still pretty helpful though.

Try to track him down.  I had the same issue a year or so back and he sent me the improved switch.

Is yours the AA battery model or the CR2032 coin cell model?  I did a redneck workaround modification to my coin cell model when my switch broke, and it worked pretty well.

Here is what I did to fix mine.  I drilled a hole in the battery cover and made a little lever to go on there.  So I move the lever one way, and the cover loosens and the battery disconnects and the sight turns off.  Move the lever the other way and the cover tightens, the battery connects and the sight works.

a little clunky I know, but it worked for range use no problem.
