That's a newer Bulgarian issue, and will fit on an SGL.

There's one I'm trying to identify. the body looks type 1 but with a bayonet lug clip on the bottom. the blade is long & skinny like type 1 but clip/bowie point.

local shop has it labled polish/tantal $35, but it has only serial #, no circle21/10/ect

Does it look like this one one my SA85?

mine is a bring back from Operation Just Cause in '89, I believe it is N. Korean made for Cuba

This. $35 is a steal for one. I own two that I bought off Ebay, and each cost me around $65 each.

Regarding those black "Type 3" bayonets, here's an interesting one - has the Bulgarian "10" in a circle arsenal mold but with a Russian Izhmash presentation blade:

Many folks not familiar with the bayonet often think it's a Russian Izhevsk-manufactured "Type II" bayonet. The Romanians used a logo with both fletchings and no fletchings on the arrow. This bayonet is a rare one as it's believed not many were made and almost all went to South Africa years ago, with AIMS-74 rifles, under a contract with Romania. Peter Kokalis did a story on the rifles in an issue of Soldier of Fortune many years ago. The bayonet photographed was obtained from a collector in South Africa who acquired a few of them. The only other one I've seen for public sale was on a South Africa auction site, as well.

Also, note the serial number and style when cmparing the serial number on the bayonet to a rifle:

Additionally, you can find the same Romanian arsenal mold on the Romanian AIMS-74 bayonets which have the metal "Type I" scabbard:

You own a unique and in pristine condition bayonet. Must be worth a fortune.
It never occurred to me that Romanians could manufacture anything that pretty.

It's a unique one, to be sure.

There's many AK bayonets out there that most folks aren't familiar with or didn't know were manufactured due to few numbers manufactured until something else was made. The Chinese made an interesting "transitional" bayonet that seemingly was copied from the Russian "transitional" bayonet - it's a crossover of the "First Model" bayonet for the milled receiver Type III rifle and the stamped receiver AKM rifle. It has a unique handle that mounts onto a bayonet lug but has the long spearpoint-type blade.

Unfortunately, the Chinese destroyed/recycled most of their old military AK bayonets, so it's extremely difficult to find actual Chinese military AK bayonets.
