I went back to my Army roots a while ago and dug out my LBE. I have two Taco's for 74's mags, IFAK, and dump pouch if I need it, then swap out chest rigs for whatever I'm taking a class for

I run a brokos war belt with 3 Double decker HSGI tacos and a dump pouch and my M&P 45

This is my chest rig. Depending on my needs i can run them both or just the belt alone. The rig can tie into belt to make it more secure against my body

I have a Blue Force Gear warbelt with HSGI tacos on it that can hold AR, AK, SCAR17, etc. mags without having to change pouches. That's a HUUUUGE money saver. I'm all about the taco.

+1

Best pouches you can get and they can be used for so many kinds of mags.

You're dating yourself with that LBE Zen.  I like it though. Oldschool.

You can roll with either a belt or chestrig and even use them together.

Tacos will work with all types of mags.

*edit* my post contributed nothing of value here in a tech forum.

I have the Russian chest rigs and a ton of pouches. My favorite are go bag Hungarian or Romanian four cell pouches with the shoulder strap. These fit perfect in a backpack.

discussion is welcomed in a technical forum as workable Gear usage at the end user is technical advice.

It was basically a rant on how in the past arfcom made fun of battle belts but now they are cool and in a year they will be made fun of again. I completely agreed with him.

Unknown, I love your set up. Will be copying when funds allow.

I don't want to splurge for a full chest rig, nor do I want the weight and heat, but I want something simple I can throw on either for a class, the range, or for a bump in the night. It has mags, a multitool and first aid. Very minimalist. I'm not sure why people ridicule them.

Here is my Sposn EGER setup:

Carries 6 30rd mags & a nice compartment for my can:
There are also two grenade pouches on either side of the mag compartments, I have yet to find anything I want carry in them.

Emdom 6o4 (Glock 21 mags barely fit!!)

I think the last thing I will add is a Emdom dump pouch.

Here is my minute man pack / European shoulder bag.
Holds 4 40rd mags:

I like the idea of battle belts more than chest rigs simply because I am faster with them. However, I am unable to run one hard because they move around too much on me, I think it is because I am so skinny, no hips or anything to keep them in place.

Right now the only thing I run on my waist aside from a holstered pistol is a RCS Moduloader with a couple double decker Tacos. For those I just run them on a normal gun belt, normally a 5.11 Apex Gunners belt.
