I know that Izhmash made a laminate folding buttstock for their Saiga rifles.  I was told that this buttstock was a prototype.  I would love to track this down or have a U.S. made equivalent.  Here's the furniture set.

That is actually a privately made one I believe (I could be wrong though).

Legion division of Izmash did make a set though...it was sold on their specialty website.  Here it is.  You will notice it is not laminate and lacks the lightning cut:

We were trying to get Ironwood to make one on the other forum...not sure if anything ever came of that.  I don't think anything did.

from what I recall, that pic was from a Russian forum where the guy did a custom job. There was a thread here at one time that had a link to it. Lots of cool customization.

I really LOVED seeing that, but then again I really wish I did not see that if you know what I mean

This info came from Guns.ru  There is a member there who made a similar looking wood folding buttstock, but I was told that this one was a prototype from Izhmash.  From the pics of the other one, it appears to be the case.

It's not the same thing, but I did make a wood folding stock using ACE folding mechanism a few years back.

I would like to try make one just like the Russian one but I've been busy...

I would seriously buy another rifle just so I could put that stock on it.
