SA-93:

The first Bulgarian AK's to be imported into the US
milled receiver
wood handguards and thumbhole stock
AK-47 style vented gas tube and front sight
45 degree gas block
100% Bulgarian made

SLR-95

no such thing as a SA-95
second Bulgarian model imported into the US
milled receiver
polymer handguards and thumbhole stock
AKM style gas tube and front sight
90 degree gas block
100% Bulgarian made

***If it is a SLR-95MB it will have a muzzle brake***

SA-93 same quality as SLR-95

$400 new is a very good price for a SA-93...get it now!!!!

The 93 has a heavier barrel, but is not machined in the receiver for the lower  tang.  However, the 95's receiver is milled to accept the lower tang.

I think he meant gas block, but I like the way you think.

Sorry to disagree, but that is not true.  SOME of the receivers are machined to accept the lower tang.  The only way to tell is by removing the butthole stock and looking.

How do I know?  I have an SLR95 that I converted.  Mine DID NOT have the machining for the tang.

Quoted:
SLR-100's were receivers brought into the US from Bulgaria and built up using parts kits from Poland and Hungary.  Depends on the condition of the parts and who put them together.

The SLR-101's were complete rifles imported by Arsenal Inc.  They were single stack receivers that were opened up to accomodate standard military magazines and had their thumbhole stocks replaced with US made K-Var stocks.

Are the SLR-101 rifles hit or miss like WASRs when it comes to how tight the magazine fits? Are there any real disadvantages of it over the ones made with double stack magazine wells right off the bat?  The reason I ask is because my local shop has one for pretty cheap.

What are they asking, and what is the condition?
I own an SLR-101 and there is almost zero mag wobble. Built like a swiss watch.

Does this affect the rifle? Is it good or bad that the "tang" is not machined into the receiver? BTW..what is a tang...

A tang is a little flat piece of matal  that's that will help hold the stock in place some slr-95's have a groove in the inside of  the receiver  . If you get a slr-95 "if" you dont want to put a lower tang on the receiver , you can get stocks for it that you dont NEED the lower tang . The lower tang cost like $10.00 bucks from k-var  .
