I just found this stock and some other parts that I put in a box 20 years ago. I am considering doing a 922r conversion on a MAK 90 if I can find a good one for a reasonable price. Can anyone confirm whether this stock is Chinese? I do not see any markings on it of any kind.

Chu Wood w/the characteristic orange varnish finish, set up for a stamped receiver. Definitely Chinese.

That's good news. Thanks for the replies. I had several wood stocks packed away from approx 1990 when I went AK crazy round 1. Now I must find a nice MAK 90 to 922r. If my wife asks me why I need ANOTHER AK I can point to this little stock and say i have had it since 1990 just looking for the right host. I have a Chinese underfolder - Norinco 56S-1 preban, pic below that could use a buddy. I would like to find a stamped MAK 90 Norinco or Poly that has not been converted yet or that has but needs the correct wood... That will give me something to do when I am not AK 74 shopping....

The Chinese mags are dirt cheap and plentifully available brand new, get some to round out your collection
