Well, here goes:

I stumbled across this pic awhile back...

So I promptly threw this together when I found the parts, the rail is a TWS Dogleg 1st gen.

But....eventually I wanted to get the real deal (or closer to it). So I bought this one last night. It's in 5.45 and lacks the Beryl brake, which I may fix later I'm also going to put the Eotech 512 like the inspiration photo up top.
The above rifle is going back to Tantal form, but keeping the Dogleg.

I might still build one as close to the original as possible (in 5.56), but not until I build up the gun fund again.

What did it take to install the Beryl folding stock? Also, by installing the Beryl folding stock, did it make it a proper fitment for the Beryl rail? Thanks!

It fits the same as a Tantal stock (or any regular AKM stock for that matter)
Unfortunately the Beryl rail requires a specialized rear trunnion AND rear sight base.
There are quite a few copies of the Beryl rail that look pretty legit though.

TWS Dogleg v.1 and v.2, DPH, Krebs, and a few no name brands on Gunbroker.
The TWS 1 is on my rifle that has the orange pistol grip.

I love the one on the right!! It has the special trunnion (different rivet pattern), right? Thanks for the info, my Tantal isn't really correct. It doesn't have the left side selector, but it does have the original barrel!! I'll add a pic soon!

Actually, it has the same rivet pattern, just one additional.
I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, but I am banking on it shooting as good or better than the left rifle. I plan to do an Eotech 512 and a 3x mag
