I've got a gen 2 with a slightly nicked front sight. I've got a replacement sight. The original sight seems to have a rivet or something in there, and the replacment has a small hex nut. Are they interchangable, and how do you get the rivet out?

I use a pair of very thin needle nosed pliers to reach in and pull out the pin in the front sight. It should come out fairly easy.

Get a pair of needle nose pliers and gently loosen the nut on the inside of the slide until it comes off. For reinstall you can use a small socket with a straight handle to tighten the nut.

Make sure you put some loctite (I suggest blue) on that screw before installing.
