Or we in store for a let down like last year.

This! And a .22 LR factory upper conversion or pistol.

And anything new and innovating without sacrificing quality and reliability... (Gen 4...)

As long as they keep making Glocks, that'll be as much as I dare hope for.

Interesting beavertail. The top of the slide's edges do look more rounded off.
|
|
For the guys wanting a single stack 9 Glock. I hand a Walther PPS and sold it for a G26 it conceals just as good and the weight difference is unnoticeable.
You get 3 more rounds with the Glock and much cheaper mags better aftermarket plus up to a 33 round mag. So I don't think a totally different single stack 9 from Glock would help anybody or be better than the 26. This is my opinion of course and I may wrong but I doubt it.

I notice Springfield Armory is getting into the single stack game. Sure would like a single stack 9mm from Glock before I have to buy one from somebody else.

No one is talking about the new Glock Carbine coming out this year?

My Brother in Law is at the Shot Show and I talked with him last night...He said he did not see anything new at the Glock Booth but he will check closer today..I will keep you posted. I tool would like to see a single stack 9 from glock...I currently have a Kahr CW9 and would trade it in gladly for a Glock...
I have a Gen3 19 and a Gen4 17, and while I like the glock 26, it is really pretty close to the 19. I would like the idea of the slimmer 9 from Glock.. |

The G26 was a brick on my hip when I carried it, i couldn't wait to get it off of me every night. Totally different experience with the PPS, it's a more comfortable carry pistol by far. I'd much rather carry a single stack pistol, all things being equal like holsters and a good carry belt. Which in my case they were, MTAC holster and a Ctac kydex reinforced belt. |

I would really like to see them change out their back strap assemblies on their Gen 4s so "the hump" would be flat. It's really not that much to ask!
|
|
Kimber Solo's are selling like crazy and hard to find even at $700-$800. The local big box gunshop has a waiting list so long they cant take anymore names. I would guess a new single stack 9 Glock would sell fast and be much cheaper.
I would be one of the first in line to trade my PF9 and I like it just fine but its no Glock |
|
I took a Glock armorers class about two years ago. The instructor did state Glock and Glock employees do not post on any internet forums, but they do read them and especially Glock related forums. That is all he would say about that topic.
I am not a business man, but the 25th Anniversary Glock 17 was lame. They have really missed it with the Gen 4. I was ready to buy a Gen 4 or two as soon as they came out, but with all the recalls I have the money waiting, but I can't bring myself to risk the money on a Glock which dosn't work out of the box. With CCW permits booming, I would think they would take a good look at that market where there is some serious money to be made. For the record I am still a hard core Glock fan! |

G26 is much thicker than the common single stacks, it makes a huge difference. |

Agreed. I went the other direction –– G26 to PPS. Bueno.

We likely won't see it at this Shot Show, but Glock is competing in the Individual Carbine Competition for the Army to find a replacement for the M4.

The military probably won't replace the M4 for another 10 or 15 years...

So, is nobody at Shot Show 2012 going to post anything from the Glock booth regarding if anything IS actually coming out this year? We have lots of speculation and fluff, but nobody is saying any facts from Glock's team there. Please share anything you find out from their booth here for us that can't go.

Everyone is all excited about a grip accessory that looks like a refugee from a Tapco magazine?
How many pistols do they sell and that is all that GLOCK can up with? They've gotten lazy/complacent and they're going to see competitors eat their base. |
|
I carry a G26. But all to often its girth is an issue and I find myself leaving it behind and going out with only my Ruger LCP BUG. Not good. I love Glocks - have 6 of them. But will be getting a Kahr PM9 for EDC.

Beretta blames it on ammo, even though it happens with all kinds of ammo. The problem is Beretta is using .40 caliber extractors and slides with the 9mm and has yet to see anything wrong with this arrangement. Kahrs, are pretty much pieces of crap (out of the box), until you break them in and send it back to Kahr 2 or more times to resolve any issues. The Ruger LCP has problems with light strikes. The Walther PPS is where it's at. They are by far the best single stack sub-compact 9mm you can buy. Which leaves us with Glock.. I would guess the Glock 36 single stack 45 experience left a bad taste in Gaston's mouth. Glock is all about hi-capacity. The single stack isn't in Glock's lexicon. Wanting Glock to make a single stack 9mm is like wanting Ferrari to make lawn tractors.

Sorry for the slight hijack but are Solo's reliable with the heavier bullets they recommend you use? If they work 100% with 147 instead of 115 that doesn't mean they are crap, just that they have special requirements. Kind of like a Seecamp .32. Anyhow I ended up buying a 3953 for when I need a slimmer pistol then the Glocks. Does Colt still do the 9mm DAO New Agent? That would be close to a G26 in size. ETA Colt no longer lists the DAO 9mm so I assume they don't. |

Took it out of the box and shot it. Contained all the latest parts (RSA, 30274 ejector). I'm 100% happy. I was 100% pissed a month ago when my G17 had to be sent back, but it shot perfectly this morning too. Went from 1-2 shells to the face per magazine with the 323 ejector to zero in ~175 rounds with the 30274 ejector. ––gos |
