I was referred to www.coldborecustom.com by a member here on AR. thought id share my experience with anyone looking to have any grip work done to their glock.

sent this bad boy in and got it back in about 5 weeks. had good communication with Lane Owens the man behind the work. all work cost 190$ including return shipping. Shipping number was emailed to me the day it shipped out as promised.

work done

- grip reduction which removes the hump on the back of the grip. he heats up the plastic and remolds it, instead of filling it with material and grinding.
- 360 degree "carry texture" stippling
- removed finger grooves
- under cut trigger guard
- rounded trigger guard
- speed well added during grip reduction. aids in reloading the magazine.

Im very happy with the work, i would not hesitate to go back to CBB again.

His work is truly amazing. The best out there as far as I'm concerned when it comes to grip work.

Wow! Really nice work! How would you describe the feel on the carry texture?

Kind of like what he did to mine, only minus the magwell job. I love it!

I like it a lot. since i live in illinois i cant carry it so im not sure how it would feel carrying it. my brother thinks its to aggressive, but he broke his thumb in a few places some years ago and doesn't like how many grips with his right hand.

Not a fan of stippling/grip reduction in general, but that looks a heck of a lot better than some of the hack jobs I've seen.

Indeed. I've never seen a job by him that didn't look perfect.

That seals it. When I have a spare pistol, the 19 goes to CBC to have exactly done what you did.

One question, what is the purpose of rounding the trigger guard?

>>One question, what is the purpose of rounding the trigger guard?<<

In my case, it's cuz the standard trigger guard is ugly and unnecessary.

How aggressive is the carry texture? Can it be worn against bare skin (inside waist band) without causing discomfort? Why didn't you get the mag release cut?
Thanks

I've got the same reduction plus a few options and I wouldn't carry it against bare skin.
