I originally wanted to send my Glock 19 grip off to get a reduction and stippling. After a week of researching I settled on cold bore customs as their work looked outstanding, almost looked liked
it came out the factory like that. I than contacted him and found out he wasn't taking on any work until the end of January. I couldn't find anyone that I wanted to send the grip out to so I
said screw it rolled the dice that I was competent enough not to totally mess it up.
Further research led me to use the candle method for the grip reduction. Used a bench grinder to reduce the front finger bumps and than a file to finish it off.
For the stippling I just use a soldering iron I picked up at Wally World. The included tip was good enough to give an aggressive texture I was looking for. Stippled 360 around the grip,
under the trigger guard and the side flats.
About 6 hours straight of non stop work, I am fairly happy of the results. While not as good as a Cold Bore Customs professional job I'm happy considering I've never done this before.
Added a mag well extension, Warren comp sights and Vanek Classic drop in trigger as well.
