The Surefire x200u is the new hotness so that will be recommended the most. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the quality lights out there (X200/300, APL, TLR1/2/3, M3X). I run the APL on my P30 and it's great.

Hk45c isn't the same as the p30s for mounting a light.

I did a write up about the TLR-3 on the hk45_ct

In my option it is the best weapon light choice.

Hk45_c,    And HK45_ct being pretty much the same gun

Streamlight TLR-4. I like it. Nice light and laser combo for the money.

Too limited on options for lights that fit it.  I sold all of mine for this reason.  The TLR just feels like a compromise to me.  It may be a good light, but it sure looks cheap.

Just ordered a Viridian CTL for mine. It's a carry gun, so 100 lumens should do. 1911 in the nightstand wears a TLR-1s.

I'm confused, how so? The ones I've seen have a pic. rail just like my P30. Is the length drastically different or something?

P30 has a different trigger guard than hk45c.

The P30 has an extra rail cutout vs the HK45C on the front.  4 cuts on the P30 vs 3 on the HK45C

That is where my X300 clipped into for the P30

Following G_S' write-up on TLR-3, I bought one for my HK45CT. I like it. Don't feel it is cheaply made. For what I paid, it works. And works well. Have not "combat tested" it in any way, but for a Bump In The Night gun, I feel it will work fine, should I need it.

Those who have a APL mounted on a 45 or 45C .

After mounting can the APL slide back and forth with min hand pressure.

That didn't bother me until it slide off my bed on to the carpet and the light/APL pop off with ease.
Also I drop it once and the same thing happen.

I would hate to see what it would do under combat conditions. Also there is Video when using the light while firing can cause it to fall off the rail.

Its to bad the APL cant be further tighten up when mounted!  HINT INFORCE because I really like your design.

The TLR can be mounted and further tighten up. So far no problems with TRL-1 300 lumen  and 800rds.

BTW I chose the300lumen TLR-1 over the higher lumen TLR because of the extra runtime.

It has plenty of light for a handgun and gives my surefire 500lumen a run for its money

I mounted a Viridian CTL to my HK45C.  I actually think having a light that isn't as bright as the midday sun (looking at you, X300 Ultra) might keep from blinding you from reflections and light bounce-back off walls.
