My new (to me) Stainless Pro Carry. The previous owner put Eclipse grips on it. The picture didn't turn out so well, but it's late. I'll take another when time permits.

tbuck, who did the work on your Kimber?

[Last Edit: tbuck] [#12]
Tim Thompson did the dawson light rail install, novaks, ed brown parts, checkering and a reliability package. The work was done when he was at Wild West Guns here in Anchorage, Alaska. He has since moved on. He was well known here as one of the best 1911 guys around. He always worked on the local APD guns.

He did the work seems like about 2 years ago. I was told he left the state and is working with his fathers autoshop. I was told this by Drew at Northern Security. He said I could send stuff to him if need be. I haven't seen Drew in a while but will try to track him down and find out some info. I put all my images on one of my websites tombnet.org/sharp Then just click the image button and add the URL of the image.

It did turn out great. I have the same project going with my Kimber.  I love the color of those grips, what model are they?

Here's my overpriced Rimfire Target.

It has the usual Kimber qualities like an overly rough blasting of the finish, MIM parts, surprisingly good trigger and WAY accurate.  The more I shoot it the less the $700 price tag hurts.

It seemed like a dumb and expensive idea at the time.  That didn't stop me from getting married either.....

It didn't seem right to put a kit on my 1911 and have it possibly not fit right.  My 1911 actually gets fired regularly and carried, weather and clothes permitting.

I've shot the Colt 22LR uppers and a couple of others.  This one is, by far, my favorite.  It has never jammed.  I've run almost 1000 rounds through it with only light oiling and an occasional wiping of fudge from the action.  Of course, it's eerily accurate.

Next comes the Team Match II.  I might even get one in .38 Stupid.

How was the overall fit and finish on your pistol?  I've read a negative remark or two on the net regarding sub-par work on these pistols.  What say u?
