Has Taurus discontinued their SA's? Or are they manufactured under another name?

After seeing this gun pop up in this thread from time to time, I had to have one. My first SA revolver.

That's a pretty sweet first SA!

Thanks! I like the full underlug look and since those can't be had on the SA, I fell in love with the full top rib on the SBH! I saw they make a special run of them every year. I'd buy about ten if they came out in 357 magnum.

They discontinued them Which sucks, because I would LOVE to find another. Sweetest action on a production revolver that I have found in a long, long time.

In other news, some seriously nice guns in this thread!

Here are mine, a Ruger Talo .45acp, Taurus Gaucho .357 and an unmolested Ruger Super Single Six

Almost forgot about this... revolver, single action so it counts, right? NAA Black Widow

Great looking combo!

I have the same set of pistolas myself (Except my SBH is a 5-1/2"):

Very sweet gun,  I've got the same one but mines not the flattop.  Just in case you don't already know the flattop Blackhawk has the same size frame and strength as the New Vaquero despite having the "Blackhawk" name and is not designed to handle "Ruger Only" loads.  You probably already know that but I've met several people who bought the flattop thinking because it was a Blackhawk it was able to handle the really hot stuff and I'd hate to see someone lose a hand.

Bought the Super Black Hawk Hunter back in 1992.  First run, with serial number less than 1000.  First time I shot it I thought I accidentally put in specials but was shooting magnums.  Such a soft shooting gun.

Awesome color case on the Colt, is that recent manuf? I have read that they're currently producing some great color on the color case hardened guns.

So far, just two Italians here (plus one American Derringer M-1, no pics at the moment).  Hoping to add a Colt next year.

I want to say I got it around 2000ish, I remember it was when SAA was still custom shop production. Had to wait a year for that one, also came with the acp cylinder. Thanks for the compliment. I have a Uberti that Bob James slicked up, I can't take anything away from the Italian guns .. They're all fun!

Ebay, but the guy doesn't have anything for sale right now.

Thanks, It was made in 1960-61, customized sometime before I got it.

Barrel cut to 4 5/8 inch
Stainless grip frame from an Old Army
Super Blackhawk hammer and trigger (unconverted)

What is that bottom Ruger? I've never seen a cylinder like that before, looks like a two shot.

That is a Ruger Hawkeye. Ruger made 3,000 of them back about 1963. It's a single shot rotating breach in 256 win mag, which essentially is a .357 necked down to .25 cal
I got it from a person that thought it was as useless as a politician, so I got really lucky.

Interesting firearm.  Could you post some more pictures of it?  Perhaps one from the rear with the cylinder open?

Pietta 1873 clone that was calling my name at Cabelas last night. I could swear it's stainless but the box says nickel plated. Either way though, it really shines.

Here's my Bisley's, I'll have to take better pics and take some of the new additions to the SA family but until then...

Twin Ruger New Vaquero Bisley's in .45 Colt (the quintessential cowboy caliber) and on top is a 1970's Winchester 94 .44 magnum (from the first release of that caliber).
