Just saw that a Czech company has purchased both Steyr and AREX. Maybe this will mean more availability?

Galloway Precision sells stainless guide rod assemblies for Arex Delta series M, L, and X Gen 2 pistols although I am pretty sure they'll work for the Gen 1 as the slide is the same (it is, isn't it?).
They offer these in a variety of weights: 15 lbs. 17 lbs. (standard spring weight is 17.5 lbs) 20 lbs. 22 lbs. The springs are mfr. by ISMI https://gallowayprecision.com/guide-rod-assemblies/stainless-steel-guide-rod-assembly-for-arex-delta-m-and-x-gen-2 |

I am pleased to report that my Gen 1 fits perfectly into a Galco Matrix 7X Belt Slide holster for double stack Glocks 9/40/357.
Newest version is called the M7X. I've had this holster for a couple decades now. Molded thermoplastic. They were inexpensive back then but now is now. |

Perhaps they just need to be asked. |

I want to put my Gen 1 into service as my EDC but there's the issue of the OEM sights which leave something to be desired esp. the front sight.
So to sum this up: The Gen 1 is most compatible with Springfield Armory XD-M sights with the expectation that the front sight will need to be either shimmed, peened, or both as the XD-M front sight is a hair undersized and that Sig sights will not fit the Gen 1 but are compatible with Gen 2 (which doesn't help me as I don't own one). Is this correct? @Ohio I found this video short which was posted 3 weeks ago. Uploader says to dimple the underside surface of the new front sight and that this info came from Global Ordinance. I do own a spring loaded punch and I'm guessing you'd have to place the sight into a (padded) bench vise to hold it. The idea of pounding/dimpling on a tritium front sight gives the worry that the vial might rupture. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/zSG61Jm63p8 |

Then put some loktite or rockset in the groove before you mount the sight. That will be a secure mount that can be removed without damage. |

Got it.
BTW from which side do you drive out the front and rear OEM sights? |

Not scrolling through nine pages of posts to find out if I already posted this:
Alien Gear makes holsters for all three sizes (X, M, and L) of the Gen 2 Deltas so by default the Gen 1 since I don't believe there's a difference in frame/slide dimensions. (they also make holsters for the Zero 1) |

Last year I posted about the recoil spring assembly (Gen 1) losing one of the pair of polymer retention cups.
When Arex transitioned to the Gen 2 did they redesign that assembly? I am considering the purchase of a captured recoil assembly from Galloway Precision (17.5 pounds) but in the meantime I own an aftermarket assembly for a S&W SD9VE likely purchased from NDZ Performance. I need to find it and see if it works in the Delta. I'm pretty sure the spring weight is the same. |

Back to the subject...
I found another holster maker who makes holsters for the Delta Gen 2: Modern Patriot Holsters. They make their own and they also sell holsters by G-Code and Blade Tech. I don't know if a Gen 1 Delta would fit in a holster specifically made for the Gen 2. I'm talking about the difference in the accessory rain. Modern Patriot says they can't guarantee a Gen 1 would fit. Perhaps some of you who know different can chime in. I did ask them if they can make a holster with the mag release button covered and they said yes they can just to make sure to mention it in the comments. https://modernpatriotholsters.com/ |

Have always liked Arex and have wanted one of their hammer fired guns since they came out. Never knew they had a striker fired handgun. Got to do some research now. But quick question. Do these have a pretensioned striker or more of a Glock set up?
