Did a search, didnt find anything. Does anyone out there know of a kit specifically for MICH/ACH helmets that I can put my flags, IR tabs, bllod type and such or is it just" go get some velcro and size it?"

kits on ebay,  or OPS core's site but ultra pricey.  I used 3M Velcro 2x3 squares, worked pretty well - can be cut to different sizes too.....   Did this just for Fun & way to over the Top..........                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              To cover up this mess, I add the  reversible cover

Or you could just sew it to a helmet cover.

This. But Im not wanting to imitate someone who's better than me, I just hate helmet covers and besides, I like not having to switch it out between the uniforms I wear

since we are on the topic....

1) helmet cover will arguably provide better camo. so what if you have to change it for different environments, its what will be more effective. why not sew velcro to each cover?

2) whats the purpose of the velcro? to attach a flag? an IR tape? blood type?

do you NEED your blood type on your helmet? do you NEED a flag?

the typical ACH/MICH helmet cover already has velcro for IR tabs, or (the ACU army ones do) has IR tabs sewn on.

just throwing that out there

Damnit youre right. I should have asked the Tier 1 nutjob at my gunshop Now THAT would be a tale worthy fo ARFcom.

the reason I dont like helmet covers is because I have a small dome and Im not to privy to how they fit. I want to put velco on the helet because A. Id would have more velcro real estate than my plate carrier. B I cant sew therefore i cant put it on a hemeet cover and C I just plain ole want my helmet to look cool dag nabbit.

Well, from what I've seen in the gear porn thread, most people don't use covers. They either stick with whatever color it came as or rattle can it. On my MICH I have my old ACU cover and my OPS-Core has nothing on it but the fuzzy velcro it came with. While I stuck some crap on the OPS-Core just because, I'd rather have a helmet cover that would fit it. In addition to whatever camoflauging effect they provide, they also prevent scuffs and scrapes. If you tear a cover, throw it away and buy another. If you do a big elaborate paint scheme or velcro the crap out of it, it will probably take longer to fix. Dunno.

Has anyone seen any cover that fit the OPS-Core helmets?
