They're adhesive.

As well as selling DuraCoat and Stencils Lauer also carries sheets of stencil material.  Using an exacto knife its very easy to cut into your own shapes.
Also take a look at your local hobby store.  Mine has a couple different types of materiel, friskit paper, masking film, etc  Also you might find some non sticky stencils that you can use.  Also pick up some of the low tack painters masking tape in various widths.

For tiger stripe, just buy some wide blue painers tape and either cut long lenghts with a razor knife or just rip it in lengths by hand.

what I was meaning with needing stencils is could someon start posting the pics of what they print out to use as a stencil.

for example:

then print this out on a mailing label or something, cut it out, stick it to the gun and paint over it.  when you remove the stencil you have the pic left.

I did this very thing using that exact stencil:

I printed it on adhesive label paper:

wow that last one would take some time to cut out!

any tricks on how you lined eveything back up?  the pic I posted I didn't even cut the teeth out.

It was a little tedious to cut out!
For the teeth, I left them attached until after i put the stencil on the mag.  Then, I CAREFULLY cut them out using an XACTO knife.

I buy sheets of avery masking film (the good yellow stuff) and cut my own using a laser cutter at work or freehand.

oh and Gr8Santini, was the "Zombie" camo on your magazine your own idea or did you happen to see one of my pieces?

I hadn't seen your pieces, but those are NICE!!!
ETA, it was my own idea and I actually made the pattern using photo shop.  Not as cool as yours, but ok for homemade and designed.

have you tried making up some smaller HK stencils yet?  I would love to see a new pistol zombie pattern, but with the HKs instead of the Skulz set.

Just an FYI. I was looking around and found this site: Spray Paint Stencils .

It has a ton of spray paint stencils. Most of them are of famous people, some of the stencils are questionable (as far as I'm concerned); but in amongst them are a few fairly good ones. Check it out.

Hope it helps.
