With the Tavor finally making it to the US, is there any love left for this other significant contribution from Israel?

Not an IMI, but it's a Vector that was marketed as a pistol. One of my favorite pieces in the gunsafe....

I have an IMI model B.  I like it and it's fun to shoot, but IMO, the engineering on it is outdated and the thing is REALLY heavy.  Also, most people don't want to have to choose between a funny-looking 16" barrel, or give up the stock to have a non-title II gun.

I would love to have a semi version with folding stock.
Looking around at prices now.
I'm never going to afford full-auto so 16"barrels are fine by me.

I love my Uzi model B.  I seen this one time where the previous case did not fully ejected out of the bolt area and was sort of trap between the bolt and barrel. The next shot took care of the problem.

Agreed. I never could get behind the 16" barrelled ones, but love my non-stocked 'pistol' version. Weighing in at 8+ lbs, it's alot to heft, but fun to shoot.

I've had the same issue with WWB, but everything else (to include low end Federal Champion) cycles perfectly.

I have a model b carbine that's in pristine shape. Shoots way better then my Vector did.  Would love to SBR it and add a RDS to the top cover, but its not at the top of the priority lists

I owned a pristine Vector...took it out to the range 1 time and subsequently sold it. There was nothing wrong with it - functioned perfectly, ate everything I fed it, accuracy was decent, it just didn't do anything for me.

Agreed!  I didn't do much for me either.  My G17 w/ 33 rds mag can probably do better. But, for casual shooting and conversation piece- nice to have.  Ended up selling it and used the same amount of money for Sig556P

Just got one and it's pretty awesome, what with being an Uzi.

It's heavy, but the weight is balanced really well.

Personally, I was leaning towards a G3 or FAL, but the wife really wanted the Uzi.

Uzi are no fun in semi mode.  essentially a Overweight pistol with a 16" barrel??

Full auto or go home.

Luckily I bought mine ($3,250) before the prices started going way up...but it's still sitting NIB as I've been shooting the other machineguns instead.

Been meaning to get a semi Vector to play around with but no money right now, I'll try to trade for one at a later date.

I had, HAD, the extra cash for a Vector Uzi full auto back in the early 2000's. In my pocket.

Decided not to buy. ffffffffffffffffffffffff

Yup my first uzi was an IMI model A.

Sold it to fund my micro uzi project. Should have kept it and just waited till I had the funds from the micro.
