There are a couple members here that have insane collections. One has something like a thousand different headstamp/types. I'm mostly interested in just types.

14.5mm gets posted on strum pretty often. Once or so a month I see it come up. Not cheap, but I'd guess you already knew that.

14.5 Show up on Gunbroker and Auction Arms.  Also I see them at most of the cartridge shows and larger gun shows.

The Dim Tracer is Pink Tip, "M17 (Dim) Tracer" is the designation.  It wasn't accepted into service beyond a limited run lot.  The Mk257 took its place in the .50 dim tracer line.

the M21 Headlight Tracer is WW2 vintage, and red tip, just like the M1, so virtually indistinguishable from M1 unless you have a box lable.

XM1022-Kinda sorta.  There was more than one design in contention, the WCC version ended up on the market, when they didn't win the contract, so it's theoretically available.  The version that won hasn't been released to service yet.

Mk257 is the API (Dim) Tracer and is a Purple/White tip, but easily confused with M20 APIT (Red/White tip).  The only diff is the "Purple" is a deep red coloration.  You have to have something to compare it to, to realize what it is, unless you have a can with the markings to ID it.

APEI-This is the FN competition for the Mk211, and hasn't gained much acceptance.  You'd probably have to attend a European Cartridge show to hope to uncover one.

416 Barrett & 408 Cheytac are available from Ammo1 on Gunbroker, also the ammunition shows.

Jester,
Should've added, if you need one of the Anthena rounds (XM1022 winner) I have a box. I'm always looking for stuff to add to the collection, if you have something (50 BMG) you want to trade for it let me know. A few that I'm looking for are any of the plastic cased rounds, Dardick (tround), German DAG training tracer and lastly would be the hardest to find SSB round, check out this link http://buy.auctionarms.com/7762473/50bmg-squeezebore-salvo-project––5 it's the 6th round over from the left. I keep looking but that round is impossible to find. The guy that has the round won't let it go and if he does it will be for a rediculous price as you can tell from his auctions.

50_Shooter,

I have a few plastics I don't need, plain and red tip. Headstamp is BF 88 - DR

For the record, regarding Jestertoo's request:

The Dim tracer referenced in 50_shooter's auction link is the early UK Night (Dim) tracer from WW2, not what I think Jestertoo's after.  He's seeking the modern US Pink tip Dim tracer, I think.

The early Winchester design for the XM1022 project, the one that didn't get accepted, appears to be in 50_shooter's .50 line up photo, 5th from the left.  (You'd have to ask 50_shooter if that's an authentic XM1022, or the commercial design that's only similar in concept.)

The Anthena round that 50_shooter references is in his photo line up 4th from left.  The XM1022 design that was finally accepted is BASED on this design, but is significantly different.  So the Anthena design isn't the XM1022.

(It really gets confusing trying to talk about some of these designs)

If you want the same bullet as the XM1022 you can find it here http://www.treadstoneenterprises.com/Barnes_Bullets_50_caliber_750_Grain_Hollow_Point_p/tti%20bullets%2050%20cal%20750%20hp.htm these are the same bullets from the contract that Keith was talking about.

Here's a dim tracer for you http://buy.auctionarms.com/8025683/50-bmg-tracer-rare

Yikes, $50 for the tracer.

ETA: looking at his stuff, that guy has a bunch but it's all insanely priced..
